How do coil springs work and why is it important to replace them over time?

Coil springs are used to provide support to a vehicles weight in order to stabilise a vehicle during steering, aid in alignment, maintain the vehicle at an appropriate height and to absorb shocks transmitted to the vehicle through the tires. 

Coil springs like almost all suspension types weaken as they bend and flex over time. It is therefore important to have your vehicle’s suspension checked and replaced at set intervals to ensure optimumal safety and peformance.
